You've probably seen these three pictures throughout our website. Although 2 out of the 3 horses were not mine. What they all have in common is the special bond that they shared with their owners.
This is Cappy. The ying to my yang. My best friend, my heart horse and the reason why I started this business. Who knew after a 30 year hiatus that God would bring you in my life. Life has not been the same since you left me May 29, 2019 but now I have a new mission to help other horses.
Although I have never had the pleasure of personally meeting Dutch, he was my sweet friend Ivy's heart horse. How she talked about him made me smile. Some people say "I know exactly what you mean" but they rarely do. In this case however, I truly did because I lived it everyday with Cappy. I remember like it was yesterday when Ivy lost Dutch.
Yesterday we lost Cyrus. The gentle giant with the most beautiful soulful eyes I have ever seen (sorry Cappy) but it's true. Sharon and I would have arguments as to which one had the most beautiful horse. I think about it now and it brings a smile to my face. I said good bye to Cyrus a couple of days ago. I told him Cappy was waiting for him.
The loss is immeasurable and the emptiness that you feel once they leave you, well, there are no words. The tears just keep flowing. If your not an animal lover, it's hard for someone to understand the feelings and love we have for our beloved animals. They are a part of our family and in some instances, the relationship we have with them maybe even deeper.
Winston Churchill once said "There is nothing better for the inside of a man than the outside of a horse". Ivy, Sharon and I were blessed to have found, lived and loved our heart horse. Sharon, I am sorry for you loss. R.I.P Cyrus.
