Wilker's Custom Horse Products

When So Southern was launched in January 2012, I made the decision that we would only sell American made products seeing we were an American company. Although our product offering have changed throughout the years, this hasn't. I am proud to say that all of our products are still made right here in the USA!

Seven years ago we used to make saddle cover, helmet bags, bonnets along with selling Wilker's products. Today, we focus primarily on selling all of Wilker's products who are located in Franklin, TN as well as standing wraps made from Equine Textiles located in Kentucky. These two American companies have been in business for over 40 and 35 years respectively.  All of our products are both customizable and we offer both digitization and embroidery services.

I was a customer of Wilker's before starting my business. I've used their products for many years as did my barn mates. I used alot of their products and it would only make sense to sell products that I knew, loved and that stood the test of time.

Marvin Wilkers is the founder of this wonderful company. A rider himself, he's successfully been able to have the best of both worlds: being able to combine his love for horses and a business that is directly linked to his passion. I guess you can say I'm following in his footsteps!

Marvin has an amazing team of dedicated employees. From his right hand man (or in this case woman) Kristyn Rogers and a team of expert sewers (that put me to shame that's for sure!), you can't be anything but impressed by both the quality and consistency of their work. Their door is always open and ready to help in anyway they can. From providing us with custom products or a fast turnaround when it's a rush order, they always go above and beyond.

I've also had the great honor of creating a saddle pad with Kristyn.  "The Royale" was made for one of our customers Bowers Cone. The Royale was named after Bower's horse and it is now part of their product line. Both Marvin and Kristyn are always open to suggestions or new product ideas. It's always been a pleasure working with them and we look forward to working with them for many years to come.
